I doubt its going to be a world reset, this world is going good over all right now, why ruin it? Past the fact every time I hear someone screaming world reset, it makes me kind of depressed.

I wouldn't mind world reset too much. I'm hoping to start new world with some people that currently have too much invested in their own bases to reasonably start living together. But in the other hand I'm in rather comfortable position right now with my own base. I also would probably start disliking the base-building from scratch pretty soon after reset.

Reset is being mongered all around and this will have negative impact on newbies who may fall under assumption that their time will be wasted if they start playing now. I would recommend to start playing and doing whatever you like while learnign the game and hopefully being competent at it when reset finally hits.

Devs could consider declaring that reset won't happen AT LEAST until set date but then people would start gawkering the date being the stone-set date when world WILL BE reset.

Pretty much why we don't really allow discussion of it. Every once in a while is fine, but it gets stale fast. Resets should be for the needs of the devs, not the players. The game as is is designed to be ever-running, even if it feels like end game content is absent.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

IMO I think it's a little disingenuous to ignore the fact world resets revitalize the player base.

Stick to the narrative!!!

But really if that is how they wanted to keep the player base we be restarting every month, early game is wear the rat race is and a lot of people have tons of fun, but I enjoy the long game, and they keep making it better.

I want to see the number go back up but in the long game vs the world start rush.

Resetting the world every month is definitely a strawman of what I just said, but you know, whatever.

You can't ignore the fact world resets have always brought players back to the game. Personally I think the whole constant, single, living world thing is pretty neat. However, restarting the world is a pragmatic solution to a dwindling player base. I'm not JLo, but I think atrophying away because of a refusal to have fluid opinions about the direction of the game would be a pretty dumb way to go.
