A good way to identify those people and ban them forever :D ....apocalypse will not end the world immediately...lets say some weeks, or a month....in this way devs have the time to do their stuff and if something is suspicious investigate that person, ban him and the World Reset GoD will decline his sacrifice sending him in the Valahalla forever. ( and ou will have your Valahalla dummies also :D ....he will always respawn there even if not logged in)
I guess botters would think twice before sacrifice themself.

How would you discern who was creating the bots. If we could do that, I'm sure banning people for it'd have already been done. You're not thinking with your brain sMartin.

What...i'm pretty sure devs can do this. It's pretty easy, you need a great amount of LP to end the world....so if someone is able to do that with few chars or what else...they can easily track his char progression...and i guess it's pretty easy to understand if it's human made or bots made.
Devs have statistics of the average chars progression of the whole server...so it's not that hard to discover for them if one player use bot or not.....i guess it's only annoying to do.
But when one player sacrifice himself for a great amount of LP they can always check him.

No, they can't. This has been an issue for years.

Now that you mention it....i guess Loftar can even easily code a small program that can compare (everytime someone sacrifice himself) char stats/time vs the average of the server....so it potentially could even auto-detect bad people, that the World Reset GoD will send directly to Valhalla. :D
Loftar, if you are reading this i'm curious to know if something like this is possible or not.

Bots to grind stats and stay online aren't difficult to make. People have them. It's like you don't even play the same game as I do.

Mmmmm....i cannot understand.
Lets test it: go to your account page, take your TOTAL LP and divide it for your char age, then tell me.

I play very little and mostly fooling around. My Average is about 24K LP/ day

Now if you take the whole server average, and someone has greatly more than that he is clearly a bot. Where am I doing wrong?

I really wish you'd do something other than shitpost. Seriously. I'm saying detecting bots is nigh impossible. I just said bots that farm LP and time online have been around for years. "The system" will be circumvented. I never said a simple equation to get LP/Time isn't impossible.

You can average a lot more if you really want to grind it out. I think the XP is going to drain pretty fast if you push too hard, though. Top few percent might be worth checking out, but still no guarantees of botting.

Burinn wrote:'m saying detecting bots is nigh impossible

But it's not impossible. It's just not worth the effort for a two man team as long as the system doesn't completely break in two. World 4 was like this. A new mining system was introduced. Because we got LP for every tile we mined, and more the deeper you went, a certain faction had characters with highly excessive LPs in just a matter of a few weeks. It was something like 10x more than the next faction if memory serves me right*. The curio system was rushed out the door, and world 4 was shut down after only about six weeks of operation.

You should really understand what you speak of. You're flaming and shitposting yourself. You're being argumentative for arguments sake and not really considering what the possibilities are.

*Google might still have the announcement page for this cached. It's not really that important to the argument. PM and I'll give a brief glance to see if I can get a link, but I'm not spending more than a few seconds on it, and have already spent more time on it than it deserves.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
