I pay Sub for 2 accts. So yea, I am fine with it. To each their own.

All it has done is speed up end world qualities. Developed villages will have a bigger advantage. More than likely we will see an increase in violence with new weaponry and armors.

Should the world be reset? Not quite yet. However it has sped up the need to do so.

I agree on all of your points but I'd like to add that that was an inevitable outcome either way with current end-game design. Thus I disagree that it has sped up the need to reset and would rather say that it has sped up the need to implement meaningful end game changes. =)

Well, considering that this situation has turned this world into a massive "experiment", then I say go crazy and start changing stuff radically at will with each passing update, this way you can test a lot of interesting stuff and learn a lot to develop the next world better, also this would keep us busy by having to constantly adapt to new rules and crazy scenarios. ¦] ¦] ¦] ¦] ¦]

Im a bit concerned about how much the armor-class of all this new HIGH-Q Ore, when made into bars and then armor will impact the game. Pre-patch, Ive known people that only need to just pop a defense when a bear reached 2IP for its special attack, taking 0 damage to absolutely fucking everything. I wonder how retarded it is now? Thats the only thing that concerns me about this new Ore/Metal quality. In saying that, I dont know how much it scales.

It scales in the same ways things have always scaled?

base * sqrt(q/10)

except you replace q with the relevant essence/substance/vitality

for armor, essence effects deflect, substance effects absorb, vitality effects wear

The important points:

q40 = x2
q90 = x3
q160 = x4
q250 = x5

Top of the world was q40 and a bit up. Now I'd say (due to capping) we'll be sitting between q90 and q160.

Effectively, for top end factions at least, metal bonuses ~doubled with this event.

I'm literally logged into the game doing nothing right now because I have no interest in doing anything. Having the entire quality system determined by what nodes you find mining made me completely lose interest in progressing. I think a lot of other players feel similarly.

as opposed to how it was previously, where it was exactly the same, with lower numbers? you mined some clay down there as well?

Hypothetical: I've been spending the entirety of the world grinding up my trees. I've finally gotten them up to quality 50, a pretty decent quality for that point in the world. Manage to make the highest quality smelter, tree planter pots, everything relating to fuel that I can. I spend time getting enough quantity to make some coal for smelting iron for a high quality anvil. Make some high quality steel for weapons armor using my best shit.

Update comes out: gg all my shit is now wall grade. Sure I still have my quality nodes and tree seeds, but I could get q10 seeds up to that quality with new tree planter pots in like half the time probably.
