Just finished my first house (finally!)
Decided to give up on the Straw and go for Tarsticks. At least I don't need farms for them so I can make them myself
Turns out I think they'll fit the ambience better than straw would.
I'm particularly happy with the house, and also started to experiment with using Snow Stockpiles as decoration. If it looks good, I might decorate the whole settlement with snow :3

House materials are tarsticks for the roof, Larch for the wood (and Oak for the door) and Schist as stone
And I don't know if it melts yet, but apparently it does not
