i remember Xcom always trying out new stuff with his village to see what would happen (in world 7 at least), that time they crashed the server with a massive network of collapsing mine supports comes to mind. :D

I remember hearing about that at the time. But yes that is exactly what I was referring to. People doing their experimenting could have possibly caused it to crash.

Not counting the 15$ verify buyers, that's a minimum of at least 10000$ in one month. You can easily afford a better server with that.

It probably isn't even the quality of the server that is the problem. It's a bit presumptuous to state that this is the cause of the crashing.

or hire a chineese immigrant to live in the serever tower and manually restart it as server goes down.

How would that solve the problem on what caused it to crash in the first place? That would simply get it up and running again only to have it constantly crash again when the problem reoccurred. It makes sense for it to stay crashed so they can investigate the codes or w/e when it crashes imo.
