started out good today then server status: crashed

Lets hope that it was some actual bug that Loftar is trying to track down. He introduced a new debugging thing that, unless I've misunderstood something, can unfortunately cause the server to crash from an otherwise non-lethal error.

He doesn't seem to be at the 'puter right now, so we may have to wait a while. There have been long downtimes on occasion, when the alarm system for server being down has failed to notify Devs.

The server last talked to me at Sat Nov 29 17:07:05 2025 (UTC).

If the message from "witnesszero" few posts above has a more convient timestamp, it was posted within a minute or two after the crash.

Oh, it crashed about an hour ago. That aint so bad.

Yeah lets hope. A server crash stops everything going on in the game and eventually force logs everyone out of it so you should be okay.
