Hmmm, over 2h ... Maybe some info? How long will it take? We are fixing/We don't give a ****?. Without technical details .... Just info that You are working on it would be great. That is called customer support.

I'm genna say, "we are sleeping" and "we are a 2 man dev team".

Info that they won't fix it till like 2 p.m. would be also nice info cause i could start doing sth totaly not connected to Haven ....

Perhaps, but perhaps not. I don't know what kind of server they have but I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that two guys with no real retail backing can't afford a very grandiose server, and still afford the cost of living. NOW that the game has a small amount of monetization involved, they can definitely afford a better server. A stronger foundation built to support the needs of their playerbase, and maybe bring in a larger playerbase.

I don't think we can assume their financial status is the reason the server is crashing. I am more inclined to believe it is more of a code issue, but I could possibly be wrong in my assumption too.

Also, when you come home from work to go to sleep, would you like it if you boss called/beeped you to say oh yeah by the way come in and put the stapler back onto the other desk and then you can go back to sleep or go out and enjoy your weekend. They will fix it when they can I am sure they have lives outside of their computers.

Ever heard of 24/7 tech support? More staff? Shifts?
Policy like "You pay us but the server will be back online when we wake up" is wrong for a p2p game.
Imagine Blizzard firing everyone in the WoW dev team except 2 people cuz they don't want to pay more salary and want to get more money for themselves. WoW servers crash but the dev team are not robots and they need to sleep, and they are sleeping. And everyone is waiting. Should payers just be OK with it? Cuz you know, there are only 2 of them.

They could be sleeping or have family commitments. A subscription doesn't entitle us to the 24/7 attentions.

I'm not getting mad at him, I was just saying that for all we know, they might not be awake or anywhere near a computer at the moment. The could be at their cousin's mother's great aunt's birthday party. You know, one of 'those' things that you can't get out of even if you wanted to or your mum would get really mad type situations. Or they could just be sleeping?


Paying doesn't give you their souls ^^ just access to their game when it is online. A crashed server doesn't waste any of your money as time stands still when the crash is in effect.

@ Shubla - They still have internet in the Bahamas so that can't be it. Maybe they were eaten by a dinosaur?

Well ... If I understand subscription You pay monthly regardless of time spent .... So it is waste of money ... And it is quite easy to calculate. Sorry for quoting only part of post.
