Satiations are game balancing though Kaios.

But are they really game balancing? Anyone that can mass produce can deal with them easily enough. Anyone that can't is hurt by them.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I think it definitely serves a purpose in "slowing things down" so to speak. But I agree, the system is by in large circumventable with a large enough support base. I'm not saying its perfect but I definitely like the idea.

I think the intent of satiation is good. Having just few best foods for spamming undermines the content and industry of game. But I am not convince that satiation is best implementation of these intended.

Not only that but if you're doing it correctly you're getting 25% MORE fep than most players when you reset your satiations properly to be 125% and this is especially important for the "Food" satiation which again can be easily done if you have the quantity available.

As soon as you have the 4 drinks to kill them off you're basically free of them, before that they're no fun either.

I agree, but I don't think the problem is with the mechanics themselves, there are more complicated games that make us ignore this kind of feature. I think it's rather how they're implemented.
One feeling I've had since day one is that this game is all about numbers and linearity, as if a robot was generating random content for the devs. I think it would go a long way if the presentation of these mechanics was developed in the form of lore. I mean, wtf is claim shield? FEP? satiations? gilding? what's with hunger and energy? why do hearthlings have to study curiosities? why do these combat moves have such weird names?

It's difficult to give some meaning to all these numbers and mechanics when we don't have any in-game lore explaining them to us and when their concepts aren't intuitive. So it's all meaningless calculations we have to make in order to increase some other numbers. All this makes such mechanics unbearable in my opinion.

I'd be so happy if there were at least a few visual changes to items according to quality, or to characters' bodies according to their stats. If red-handed players were actually red-handed and if overstuffed people had a visible belly, if people with druidic rites had white hair and chars with high perception were tall or something.

So you are saying that you do not understand thing unless it is literal? Almost everything in game has very obvious, even if not explicit, basis. Example:
ven wrote:wtf is claim shield?

Claims require dreams to make. Shield is magic barrier from the will of men to defend their lands.
ven wrote:FEP?

Abstraction of necessary to eat balance diet for well rounded body.
ven wrote:satiations?

Abstraction of the desires of men to taste a variety of flavors.
ven wrote:gilding?

Affixing certain object of power to clothing will increase the user ability.
ven wrote:what's with hunger and energy?

Men feel hunger for sustenance. Men eat to gain energy. This is so obvious I do not know how to explain further.
ven wrote:why do hearthlings have to study curiosities?

Men gain knowledge by study the world around him.
ven wrote:why do these combat moves have such weird names?

Which move you talk about? Clearly ''chop'' is not hard for figure out.
ven wrote:If red-handed players were actually red-handed

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/red-handed?s=t
ven wrote:if overstuffed people had a visible belly

When you eat large meal you do have huge belly now? This is not how these are working.
ven wrote:if people with druidic rites had white hair

Why?
ven wrote:chars with high perception were tall or something.

What?

Your suggestings make less sense than what is in game already.

This should be a C&I topic, but the drink/satiation industry/mechanic would benefit greatly from several different drinks all affecting the four drink satiations.
tea can be split up into Black tea for food, Green tea for bread, a third tea for vegetables. all three affect the tea satiation so you'd have to pick which category you want sated
beer can be split into beer for meat, weibbeer for sausage, etc etc.
wine can be split into grape wine, plum wine, apple wine, etc etc.
milk can be split into aurochs milk, cow milk, sheep milk, etc etc.

at least this way you'd have to think about what you want sated, instead of just drink liters upon liters of liquor and milk and tea.

For some men this is all that they have.
