I paid my year subscription, that gives me no right to be demanding, I knew what I was paying for and wanted to pay for it.
The same is true for anyone else complaining along the lines of I PAID AND I WANT TO PLAY. You knew what you were paying for, suck it up. If you don't like it now that the server has been down for like 3 WHOLE HOURS, GTFO. This will probably happen again, multiple times, over the course of your subscription period. I fully anticipate both more and longer downtimes, that's the nature of the game and the development team behind it, it always has been.
It genuinely irritates me to see people crying about the server being down for such a insignificantly short amount of time when it's already been explained in this thread that one of the people providing this platform of entertainment you are suffering such ravenous withdrawals to would really like to get a decent sleep in order to maintain and improve it to a better standard. Entitled pricks.

Not if you read first about what you are getting and then still make the decision to pay ..... the devs have never hidden the fact that the game is on-going in development, has issues and bugs and that sometimes the server may need to be taken down for fixes and is also apt to crash from time to time ... you chose to pay for that and that is what you have got ..... now pls try and give the poor guy some breathing (or in this case, sleeping) space.

As Kit says earlier, they are usually really good in getting it back up again and if this bug needs time to sort out to make the game accessible to you, then it needs time ... end of story.

First of all, sorry for sounding like a dick in my previous post, as that was not my intention. I guess I succumbed to the typical internet anonymity issue and got carried out with my words, sounding way too harsh (as I read it now).

What's my reply to what? To Loftar making a backup? Well my reply is an applaud. However, that can be automated.

If you mean a reply to the general post that Loftar made, my reply would be I understand that a game in an early state might not be able to be fully automatically restarted, however I still think there should be strong priority put to streamlining the process in order to rule out any exceptions and make it possible to roll out automatic server revival. It also makes me wonder how is the server designed, since what Loftar stated can be easily avoided with proper database checks that do not allow for corrupted data to occur (unless it is not backed by a database or not a modern one).

If you're so clued up maybe you ought to go and make your own Haven and Hearth, with hookers and blackjack.

I'd love to at some point but right now I need to make a living and focus on other life priorities.

It's enough to visit my profile to know that I haven't been online on the forums since the post, making your statement invalid (and, quite possibly, retarded).

Dealing with backseat developers might be frustrating, I know that as a fact, but much good can be sometimes incurred from some of what they say - and I know that as a fact as well.

Not exactly, no, from what I read I was not alone in my way of looking at the situation so I guess Loftar has quite a good defensive force .... I don't understand the point to the 2nd part I'm afraid. I posted twice ...

I don't respond to orders that are shouted at me, lol, maybe a suggestion/explanation followed by 'please', as in my reply earlier .... .... and then if I felt it necessary I would have room to apologise.
