It is actually rather stable, but there has been some bug around Loftar couldn't fix over the past few days. So I guess the server crashing like once or twice a day again is related to that.

Seriously, when I finally manage to catch this bug, I'm going to do as Archimedes and run naked around my neighborhood in celebration.

Please ask Jorb to film this.

Well, on the bright side of things, I think the last few crashes have let me come closer to the truth about the bug. Previously, I thought it was a logic error somewhere in the management of map structures, but now it seems more like what I suspect is a double-free bug.

I'm considering running the real server in Valgrind again, as I did for the last hard bug, but then again this one seems to be a lot less common, so I don't know how long I'd have to run it thus for it to be found. If the performance deters people from even playing, it might not even be found. Worth a shot, perhaps, but I'm considering other options first.
