I'm not 100% sure about this teck, but it kinda seems like the logs show it. Outer bark = block colour, inner wood = plank colour.

For example, larch logs are chocolate coloured. The blocks appear gray in the inventory, but items made with those blocks still gives the chocolate bark colour of the fallen log.

The logs do indeed show it.

This picture clearly shows the two best woods. Dark one is Plane Wood and the pink one is Cyprus Wood.

So it will take the exterior color?

and not the inner of the board

That'd be a nice thing, yeah. Not sure of how much of a priority we can make it.

Someone will probably make a simulator now.

Need some help on the numbers for anyone whose built a mansion before. Would 45 basalt + 205 gneiss produce a primary and secondary colour, or is it not enough basalt?

Any elaboration on how the colouring works?
pls

This:

Also - Any way we could get things with multiple material inputs (Like the house) to have individual places you put materials?

So rather than just: "Boards 40, Blocks 80, etc" - Have "Floorboards" "Walls" "Thatching" "Stone Walls." Etc?

Oh yes.. please. and make it easier to calculate on the houses what goes where. I think we have given up. !!!!

Not enough basalt. The Gneiss will be the primary, secondary, and likely tertiary stone colors/textures.
