You can't stop it. Nobody notices it in WoW because the numbers are low. The threat of having an account (or even all accounts they can associate with the players) permanently banned (and deleted if I recall right) is enough to keep the vast majority from even trying. The fact that they have fought with bot makers for years is proof that winning the war is impossible. Blizzard, with their massive resources, are one of the few to report actual victories, legally and with EULA and TOS rules, without resorting to using anti-hack software, which is often draconic and problematic getting to run for anyone in the Americas and Europe (because it's not accepted by the public generally).
But they still haven't stopped all the bots, and they (Blizzard-Activision) are one of the three, four largest game publishers.

APXEOLOG wrote:Really? Please. WoW auction (mining/harvesting resources at least) is 80% bot-based as far as i know. Yes, some people feared to be banned, but mostly, you just don't need to use bots in WoW. Because the only things you can do in this game are raids and pvp. Obviously you don't want to use bots for this, because, then, why the hell do you play this game at all? If someone wants to get some good gear it's cheaper to get some gold from gold sellers, then to buy a bot license.
