If there's an animal outside of my house, could shooting it, running inside, going back outside and shooting it again work? Do animals stop being aggressive if you go indoors? Can you shoot ants with a bow?

Could we have a guide on melee fighting? I never fought with my bare hands in old Haven, I used to shoot everything from my boat.

I can confirm that it does indeed work.
Never managed to shoot ants though, accidentally shot a fox that ran in while I was aiming at ants though

In case it wasn't posted yet, 30 UA allows you to hit through a boar's defense and fully block a boar attack. Boars only use a hybrid striking-backhanded attack, like ants (in my experience at least).

Foxes are weaker tho right? any know how on those cause the thing raped me. I've healed the wounds but the gauze cannot shrink my anus.


Just to be productive this is how I hunt horse:



You clover it. make a little enclosement. ride it in. close it. wipe a single tear from your cheek and shoot it dead. River isnt needed I was just being overly cautious.

So I'ved soloed every animal with bow apart from bear now. Mostly just using river.

So far the only animal I have trouble hunting are bears. Usually you just run after or enclose the animal so they wont run. But with bears you actually need a group to block him from running since chasing him will eventually enrage him and make him turn on you.

Honestly, we've killed three bears during the running phase. The enrage phase in legacy was ~100 hp or something? We've killed them through the rage chance every time so far.

I agree that's not reliable though. The one time we mess up probably dead meat.

IMO foxes are harder. They have insane agility and can't really be kited. They also have a sweeping attack (I think), so it's hard to keep all defenses active and have time to hit them. I try to use horses to hunt foxes.

Also from a horse you can avoid a boar ever hitting you, so ua doesnt matter so much. When it attacks you from your front, it cant reach you (and you it) so the attack whiffs. To hit it, attack on its flank.
Beware tusk romp (or whatever its called) though :p
