Tree of Life has many similarities though just as many differences. Still survival still discover to learn to craft newer things. 3rd person camera do things to get stats/skill points want to get stronger or better at combat? Just fight. Sadly last I checked you could only master like 5 total of the like 40+ skills. You can also build automatic arrow towers to defend you base. Even when your offline. But its even more prone to people to screw you over and kill you for the hell of it as the world is very very small. They have been expanding it slowly but they are doing it in waves and it has been removing even active bases on "Accident" and influence never fades so even 6 months after no one logs in in a village you'll still leave a scent. Also You can make lock picks to get into bases but again you need the skill for it.

More problems. You need to eat a ton more food. You need to gather a shit load more resources to make basic things. Crafting sucks donkey balls. You need wood to make lumber to make boards...Oh wait you used the wrong base wood...Start over. Get ore to make bars to make sheets etc etc.

Overall if you want more of a you need people or many many alt experience Tree of Life. Also server pop sucked even worse the HnH before a world reset.

I really can't say it's better or even on par with HnH. They do a shit job balancing it as well.

That's a blatant copy to me: http://store.steampowered.com/app/568570

It launched today. I'll keep checking it to read what the users have to say about it. It could be a good opportunity to see if haven would thrive on steam. Although it makes me rather sad that it's that game and not haven that is breaking into the survival market there.

Tbh it seems more inspired by Wayward/Wurm to me.

It looks pretty damn bad, I can't believe they're charging 8 dollars for it. Looks like a tech demo with temporary graphics.. But it's the real game.

Also odd, it looks like I have Tree of Life but I don't remember buying it. Did it start out as free to play?

I'm watching a streaming of it...it's not that bad...it's a single player game, pretty easy, thought for children...you can build, craft, etc... not that bad for 10 dollars....nothing to do with H&H btw.

[insert random survival game here]

It obviously copies hnh because of that one aspect that has vague similarities to something in haven.

In that case, I better list "Empyrion - Galactic Survival" and "Space Engineers." Oh, and let's not forget ARK.
