I play this game to have fun, it is a game after all.
I accept that fun for you is making a combat char and fighting, I get that, I don't try and tell you how much you are missing out on or that you don't know how to play the game or shouldn't be here because you don't play it fully ... The reason I don't like pvp here has nothing to do with whether it's too hard or not, if I wanted to do pvp I'd learn to, just like I have learnt everything else in the game,
I get 'my' fun from the other aspects of the game, creating something from nothing, creating something I'm proud of, (larping in my hermitage, lol) for raising q and stats by myself, slowly but surely ...

... by socialising with other players, from projects, like my peaceful realm last world, helping and encouraging new ppl to learn to play and stick around even after defeat and to be honest, even doing a bit of farming or mining is fun in that it is relaxing after a long day at work and gives me time to breathe!
The fact that this game has more to offer me than death and destruction is why I am here and also why countless others play the game and stay in spite of the risks from players like you who care less about those other parts of the game.
Incidentally, it's a good job there are other players who are more interested in the all the numerous other things the game has to offer rather than focusing on pvp and grinding out combat chars or else who would you have to raid and kill?
Oh and btw, I also have not hermitted (exclusively) since w5, though I do always have a hermitage somewhere in game. Running a hermitage and doing everything for yourself is not an easy task, you wouldn't downplay hermits half as much if you ever had to do it!
