you use the meger amountof energyfrom geothermal to stock up over extended periods till got enough alcohol to do a big crop, and if put in work anywhere can make small amounts of geothermal power, would probably need other sources of power thou

I doubt anyone would be able to stockpile enough energy to keep themselves alive by growing stuff let alone them and anybody else.

we can use nuclear power

also there are some geothermal powerplants in Finland. Some people would survive with food grown from energy that they produce.

I have no confidence that the dominant power structure will retain control in a post-apocalyptic situation.

Pray tell, how do you intend to harness this mystical "geothermal energy" in your homemade bunker? [Hint: you can't.]

there will always be someone trying to accumulate influence and power, and yes get equipment to drill a well drill past 60 feet make a few holes add water on milds days the worse production hot and cold days are best deep down avg temp is 60F(or something like that) warm water will flow up and you can harness the weak flow for low power

Someone with enough equipment and supplies to do something like that is most likely to be murdered and looted very early in the game. By people who have no idea what to do with what they got.

Really? Because I've spent my whole life looking into this topic (closed circuit human habitation) albeit for rather different reasons and it's very complicated and convoluted.
