Just FYI, for the casual observer: Ares/Gary = Ares Gary Bankus I, Lord of the Front and the Back Yards, King of the Tower, Prowler of the Garage, Eater of Crunchies, Master of the Poopbox and Counselor of Cuddles.
You may also refer to him as his Orangeness or his Girthiness.

Louie is lord of a distant realm. On occasion, he comes into contact with Ares Gary Bankus, typically on holidays when Gary ventures beyond his walls.

Affectionate rats are the best. My current two are sort of rescues from a breeder who kept them locked in a box and basically never touched them. They're not at all social, and have cost me hundreds of dollars in vet bills. This picture is when we were first bringing them in, Cream was terrified and decided my head was the safest place to be.
Still, I'm grateful I get to care for them. They're pretty happy, even if I wished they would interact with me more.
