We had a village of 5 people.
1. One got tired of playing the game. I guess it was too hard. He didn't even know how to make a fishing pole. Everything was handed too him. He wanted to program a bot to do everything for him but he never made it.
2. He was a great hunter but got really angry when the deers would hurt him for missing the arrow. He thought the entire combat system was a joke and rage quit. Also steep learning curve.
3. Another play got tired little after he installed the game. Saying "im not walking 3-4 hours just to play with you guys" But he eventually played but less and less until 1 and 2 stop playing. He also was more casual.
4. I died 4 times maybe 5. I kept trucking, but eventually we traveled a long way and set our project too big. I never finished our project and got tired of playing. Also, 5 left after he noticed that I stopped playing and login in as much. I want to say that it's my fault the game seemed less appealing because of real time issues that I had going. But, in the end the game just died for me. As there were no other players to play with besides one.
5. He may still be playing but I doubt it. No comment.
I want to say the reason I quit is that I got tired of grinding for high q nodes. I traveled everywhere, looked everywhere and just got tired of it. I know haven and hearth is about the adventure but having over 2 gigs of mini grids isn't my style. I stopped playing before the great high q nodes update. I saw that everyone got higher q nodes but even then I didn't see myself wanting to play. Maybe it's the grind of everything.
I still sign in to feed my cows and plant my crops but foraging for curios, I do not. Trying to find high q nodes, I do not. Mining, I do not.
It's not you haven and hearth. It's me.
