Deeply sorry for the double-post (although with a few days of difference) but...
...it's time for a new chapter!

I'm really sorry for this gap... A lot has happened lately... But it is finally here! I'll make it a little longer than usual to make up for it
CHAPTER 10:
BUILDING EXCITEMENTI was really tempted to call this chapter "PUNCHING SHEEP" because... Well, that's mostly what I did for three days! I've punched a sheep, woot!

No wonder it stares at me like that... I'm sorry, Mouflon! Jorb gives me no choice rather to spank you every day into submission! At least you puff a pink cloud of joy when that happens?

Boom! There you go. My first Ram!

I named it Wooly... Because, well... he's wooly. And I totally need that wool for some stuff like bandages and the mattress for my master room in the tower

Meanwhile, the usual works have been happening...

Some hunting for meat, leather, bones... I've been finding several packs of deer every day. I think they respawn more often on the forest biome nearby than on most other biomes? Or maybe I'm just lucky

Mining has been ok so far as well. I've reformed the Smithy area, renewing my smelters to greater qualities now that I found a better clay node and preparing the building signs for Finery Forges. Oh, I also added a new smelter as you may've noticed. Three sounds like a good amount. I'm still not working wrought iron because I didn't manage to gather the LP for Deep Artifice yet, but I'm almost there!

Oh, and the Austral Slope Farm has been a joy to work on, too! I'm loving how it looks now that I have all the crops growing and all that... Still working on the well, though... Lots of ropes needed yet. It's looking good, though! And the produce is more than enough for keeping my animals happy and healthy, which is good!

And I finally finished the Main Square's design! It's a bit oddly shaped but the idea is to represent the mountain and the firmament above. The village idol represents the village itself - on the peak - and the bonfire represents the heart of the mountain!

Looks great at night. I really love the lighting effects on this game, especially the warm flickering of fires on cold, blue-ish landscapes. Thanks Jorb and Loftar

By the end of the next night, I was visited by a couple of friends (Fall and his girlfriend). They needed some healing items done (and I got plenty of snow

) and also brought many gifts! I gave some curios back as gifts, too, and we spent a long time talking.

It was really funny that we recently found out that we are from the same country

So it was a nice, friendly visit. The three of us had a lot of fun talking about random stuff...
After a while, I brought them to the inner area to show some stuff, like the horses. I decided to finally put Minerva and Nimbus together, now that I'm producing enough food, and...

... well, that was rude, Nimbus! I got visitors here, you know?
At least they can't complain about warmth up here, I guess
Anyway... After that awkwardly funny moment, it was time to sleep for a new day was coming...

The next couple of days have seen a lot of work done! I've paved and determined all the remaining areas and buildings I want in the village and after the amazing Wine & Beer patch, I felt myself forced to hurry up some of my favorite projects.
This picture above is my vineyard!
There I'll produce special, mountain blends aged on the snow itself - as you can see on the right.
And...

This is the Brewery. Here I'll produce high-quality, strong mountain beer!
All of this to be consumed on the upcoming Inn...
The Inn shall be a Great Hall - YES! I managed to fit one up here. It was a bit difficult to find a flat area big enough but it happened. There's going to be a Great Hall in Wulf's Retreat! Well, at least if I managed to gather all the materials

Without any delay, beer production has started already

And I guess that's it for this chapter, covering up the most important events from the last week or so...
And to finish it with pretty scenes, a couple of screenshots showing how's the overall look of the village so far:

And my favorite one:

That's it

The project moves forward... I didn't honestly expect to get this far so... I guess we will see Wulf's Retreat finished and open to travelers from all over the Hearthlands
