Actually a dev of Wild Terra answered me at my meme spamming post:

"Another Haven & Hearth clone?
Even if H&H(not on steam: http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/) is free and one of the best MMO i ever played, let me know which similarities this game has with it.

Have PvP and PvE servers.
Many of mechanics you can find similar."

After all he's been kind, at least they are conscious :D

You know, all I can really say is who here has actually played Infiniminer? I've played and own a few of the other games from Zachtronics, but not this one (found a demo one time and couldn't get it running). And yet Minecraft is one of the best loved games of all time with ports to almost every platform--OS, console, handheld, or smart phone--that can run it.

I guess the question is should H&H be remembered as the Infiniminer of the crafting survival genre, or should it be the milestone?

Interesting take on it. It would be easier to label it as such if its devs and community weren't alive, well, and kicking. Does Infiminer have a community anymore? Our community could turn this from the grandfather of realistic survival into the Allfather thereof - if it grows. We could do more than merely be the stepping stone upon which "better" games stepped to reach their fame.

Though, what do you mean, "Milestone"?
"...the dungeon and shackles are already at my threshold to show me here and now my eternal disgrace. Only you can work the miracle to make life possible for a soul so imperiled by doubt, O Atoner for all, exalted beyond saying." - St. Gregory of Narek, Book of Lamentations, Prayer 1.

Man... some days I just can't get the right word. The mark by which all others are measured... there's a word for it, but I couldn't tell you what it is right now even if my life depended on it. I can guarantee it will pop into my head in the next two to three days. I can think of several, just not the one I wanted. :(

I see what you mean...btw MMORPG in 2016 are not very popular, moreover H&H is an hardcore game not for everyone, and just saying, most of the time very popular games doesn't mean at all good games.
I think there is the potential to be a "Milestone"...btw there is no certain answer at your question cause it depends on people, and people, human being, by definition are unpredictable....you know: "Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?"
The success of a product is determined largely by customers...so, who knows?
My two cents about the game development would be focusing on a more user friendly interface/client and controls conform to 2016....most of all about controls cause they influece heavily the first idea of a player with the game, and it mean a lot....

The benchmark? ;)

The question is: how much does the wider world know about Hafen? And if it does, how does it compare it to other games?
Might help if someone updated their Facebook page once in a while... https://www.facebook.com/Haven-and-Hear ... 601638712/

If no one knows about it, they will not compare it to anything.

Obviously Legacy HnH, that you can get if you verify your account. Or Rogalia seems pretty similiar, but i haven't played...so i guess you need to check it out. Wild Terra also has many similiar things, as a dev told me.

I'm back after 7 years, couldn't recover old account.
Does HnH have single player, PVE or a private server option yet?
