I see what you mean...btw MMORPG in 2016 are not very popular, moreover H&H is an hardcore game not for everyone, and just saying, most of the time very popular games doesn't mean at all good games.
I think there is the potential to be a "Milestone"...btw there is no certain answer at your question cause it depends on people, and people, human being, by definition are unpredictable....you know: "Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?"
The success of a product is determined largely by customers...so, who knows?
My two cents about the game development would be focusing on a more user friendly interface/client and controls conform to 2016....most of all about controls cause they influece heavily the first idea of a player with the game, and it mean a lot....
