And great place for city two island, the most to the north, there is only the ocean further.

There is Ocean Water, Ocean Deep and Ocean Deeper (and who knows, possibly something else that I haven't seen yet). The darker bits around the edge are Ocean Deeper, and I think they're the ones that eat canoes (I haven't tried to find out).

That's correct. The "odeeper" biome is the one that damages your vessel.

Meh, i guess an invisible wall representing an "impassible" mountain makes more sense than an invisible wall at a random point in the ocean
