Hmm, maybe I'm mistaken. I'm going to keep rushing south.

With such a large world, it doesn't make sense that the map curves inward so sharply. The sharper the turn, the smaller the circle... so.. maybe still rectangular.

LMAO!

I just discovered the edge.

It is an invisible boundary, and here's the best part. xD

The boundary is not a perfect square. The boundary curves, and I'll tell you why.

(1) If you choose one direction to travel, such as LEFT on the minimap, you'll eventually clip on nothing.
(2) Next, if you pull away from the invisible boundary, then choose either UP or DOWN on the minimap—travelling perfectly straight—you'll find your character clipping again.

What's happening here is the boundary is curving. This means the shape of the map edge cannot be a square.


Instead, the map is more like an ellipsis, or a circle, or even worse yet, an oblong shape!

Your best chance of adapting to your corner strategy is to CHOOSE a cardinal direction, then travel either N, S, E, or W along that boundary.

Have your forward scouting player mark the boundaries of your eventual town, or just set up right there on the border. Good luck!

NOTE: I'm using the minimap to click, so my camera isn't altering where I click. I get clipped...
