Is animal spawn rate up?

I have seen many more boars, bunnies, deer, and bears + others than I remember being normal. just wondering if the spawn is up or if I'm just crazy.

Probably because it was expected to see a lot more people than in Legacy, so they boosted the spawn rate to catch up to the demand.

I only saw this amount of animals when I boated about; the main difference being I'm on foot now.

I'd assume they boosted it up. But they did modify if they spawn in groups or not now.
