I guess not all material combinations are going to look stellar. What did you use? Spruce?

The wood is almost entirely Poplar. We're surrounded by this stuff and one log gives like 48 blocks and a good amount of logs too. The stones Gneiss and Granite (or maybe Schist).

Not quite sure if I should improve anything here or not. The poplar wood material as such is probably fine, it's more the interaction here that is a bit undesirable.

Do note that the house has like four different wood materials it applies. If you mix in significant amounts of other woods you will get more varied results.

Also - Any way we could get things with multiple material inputs (Like the house) to have individual places you put materials?

So rather than just: "Boards 40, Blocks 80, etc" - Have "Floorboards" "Walls" "Thatching" "Stone Walls." Etc?

See the logs above the house? Thats poplar. For some reason the bark colour (which is dark) isn't used in stone mansions.
