will archers have use since you cant shoot over walls

You can aim even if your opponent moves now.

New meta. I suppose we will see what the creative PvP groups do.

The devs did mention there being walls you can walk on in the future...

that was the implication, yes... maybe bodkin arrows would help, lower damage, better armour pen, I dunno, I'm quite happy with bows being mainly hunting tools but I guess it'd be nice for them to have more combat use, especially if larger, walkable walls are to be implemented.
