do claims still stop animals from spawning inside them

Caves aren't the best places to live anyway, imagine if someone started griefing and cave-in'ed your base. Outside in a palisade should give you more room and safety in the long run (and farming).

the reason why I live in a cave for shelter till the bats were added I have a farm land area on the outside I mainly use a cave for an area for storage

this is before I knew they made a change with the Palisades where you can't shoot over them with a bow
