I think it's exp which to me is more valuable and that's why I'm building one of those things right now to test some things out and there has to be other ways of gaining exp in the game or you're going to use it all up without any way to get more you cannot rely on the random events

definitely not, just ask farlis who is running around desperately trying to get any xp from random events, as far as we know, there is no other way.
