I currently play maybe 1 day a week.

if the world reset.
I don't feel like there would be anything really I'd want to do.
a few things annoyed me this world...

-Crossroads
-local resources
-charter stones

Mainly local resources have annoyed me to all hell and back.
Without securing 4-5 you will lack the means to trade.

Charter stones and crossroads fast travel.
These have sorta killed exploring and trying to be far away from the action as possible and a number of things.
before crossroads in w8. People who were traders made a name for them selfs as middle mans.
it was quite fun. the quick meet up barter system/markets (use a road usea charter stone) has killed trade. the local area all went to the market to make trades with the top guys. since noone in the local area offered top Q.

I have a lot of problems with the current state of the game. I don't think I would really feel much need for anew world.
WARNING! MY ENGISH SUCKS.

Agreed.
alot of players not play because:
they beat statcap
bad pvp system (no death / 12hrs siege)
not fixed bugs & abuses (claiming rare resources / few layers claim shield )
no panish for botting / alt abusing
ppl tired to rebuild all every year
low online in mmo = more low online

imo one way to make H&H great again:
3 servers (pvp pve no-wiped) \\imo merge it in 1 - impossible
Public relations (steam or someth) \\ ppl turnover, online 500+ on each server
admins (admintools to panish abusers)
team of devs to faster evolve game (bugfix, mini updates)

Errr... Well the "no death for pvp" part is untrue. That change happened somewhat recently, and if you compare it to previous years it had a zero sum total effect on population in the first week. Either way, it certainly had no effect on losing the first 700 people who left before that change was even suggested.

Several of your other points I can agree with, although I view those more as reasons why people don't decide to play in general, not necessarily equating it to the population that returns each world for the first 3 month rush. In general, I think people who play haven longterm are just a different type of player than those who come for world resets.

Because of the changes to the death mechanics I'm more than ever eager to get back in, now I'm waiting on one of three things:
1) World Reset
2) World Expansion (if the map gets bigger, that means more land and opportunity).
3) I get a bunch of friends to start a settlement with.

If one of the three happens I'll jump back in.
World 12: Quit at some point.
World 11: Community Fair Worker
World 10: Co-Founder of the Northern Kingdom, Resident of Emerald City, Founder and Mayor of the Hole of Glory, RamZ's Art Emporium at CF, Member of the CFL Rams.
World 9: Founder of SnoopVille, Resident of Emerald City
World 7: Hermit and Neighbor to a dead Korean

Personally feel we need to fix hunger stat bloat before doing a world reset.

Personnel "profile"/experience has a noob in this game that doesn't look for a world reset!
I've been playing since March this year. Have as accumulated playing time of more than 3 weeks.
Game mechanics as well as combat are a bit difficult to master, but the depth of the game compensates a lot in that early days of learning and beyond. Love the game and i log every day to play with friends (so I have a Verified account and I'm thinking of Subscribing)

No boredom has settled yet because there's is always something fun to explore, to increase Q, to build or stats growth...
So for me a world reset after 4 months is idiotic. I can only comprehend these need from people who use bots or otherwise like to scheme a rapidly ascent finding themselves with no more goals, since they don't enjoy the normal playing process, but otherwise just play to became stronger, to have power rapidly or simply being better than the rest fast...
Almost quit playing the first days because I ran into some DIS heavy player guys that wanted to destroy my stuff and kill just for the fun of it...

Point is... there're 2 Dev's that has managed to create and shape a game that is amazing for a builder/explorer/PvE/Fraternizing player personality type such as myself, and because of that I brought more people to play the game, and for me and my friends, most of the crap we read in this forum are clearly from negative people that just like to brag, insult and cultivate conflicts instead of sending constructed good feedback to help making this an even better game.
A more active forum moderator with sharp razorblades to cut the crap is to my opinion a good way to clean up what is otherwise a truly great and enjoyable experience when playing and reading in this turf.
Looking forward to see more people playing with more friendly vibe inside the game and at this forum.

Murphy's Law taps into our tendency to dwell on the negative and overlook the positive...
It seems to poke fun at us for being such hotheads, and it uses the mathematical rules of probability to support itself.

Thankfully the base defenses are strong currently. That type of player has suffered notably in previous worlds before claim shields.
