Simplification of those would be almost like modelling and texturing from scratch unfortunately

So, I just started and can tell that some details are too tiny and impossible to glue + I didnt remove doubles in some places and there are no "wings" at some seams. Dont use that scheme, Ill make another one later. Ill try to finish this but it might fail.

I added the resulting sprucecap in the first message. I like how it turned out but it doesn't look very good on the pic

Pretty cool. I'm curious what program(s) you used to extract the models. One of those OBJ format converters?

i own a few 3d printers if someone has the time they could extract the 3d files for some things they would want printed.

I used the one from that post:

and yea, those were obj, then I used Blender to convert to stl and sent to my friend as they are
