I was actually working on making a fruit tree orchard, same thought process, a proper orchard would look nice. But ... then I needed more space for animals, lol, and pens were remodified instead ...

I still have space though for a small orchard, so maybe given more time. :)

Wb btw ... :D

Thanks yeah, after longer thinking, making a very decent project as making a proper nice looking Orchard, isn't easy task. :P

Day 14 - part 1

I do love the smell of fresh flax on the morning. Investigeting the smell, I've left my cozy burrow and head out to check it out. It was nothing but good old farm, shaped in squares, in a square palisade. Something different from all the circles I previously saw. Good old times. Well, maybe... All those squares make a circle?
Image

The first village I encounter today is called "Echo". The name is adequate I dare to say. It's half-dead and half-alive, depending on which part You currently see. It's like seeing an apple which is in 50% dead and in 50% completely alive. Echo of what it will become in time and echo of what it was back in time, is visible on the hand. Or maybe they just run out of people, that's the possibility too.
Image
Image
Image
Image
On the other hand, some villages don't have enough time to sprout. Just a plain, lone idol, not covering anything precious, just ruins of something that might have been great one day, but did not make it. What or who or when did it happen, that is stopped to be?
Image
Also, sign forest out of nowhere but with graveyard. That gives me some ideas... but those fellas, ain't anymore doing the ice bucket challenge for sure.

There is some people who want to avoid being an average builders or settlers and decide to occupy more difficult areas or less casual ones. I've seen a couple mountain bases, a couple between river camps or a couple swamp shrek villages, where You can fight of the cliffs, but You can't fight that much with terrain itself. They bend their square souls into something beyond squares, like... rectangles! Or circles. Or some kind of misfigured other shapes. I admire your efforts!

Now, since the midge introduction to this nice world, living on swamp or close to rivers seems to be more difficult without a house to hide in. No more sitting in rock chair outside, with just your pipe in mouth and good pipestuff beside, plenty to grab. Maybe I was just lucky to find those black swarms a lot around water, I do not know, but how painfully it is to swim with those on your back!

The first and only rule of hearthland. Don't trust anyone, nor even yourself. Despite that, it's often break, as there are people You can get along with and there are people that You can't get along with. You can't be a friend of everyone, because not everyone must be your friend. How many times I heard russians are bad, polish are bad, never trust brazilian, stab those swedish meatballs and etc., etc.. It all depends, when it comes to people, there's no nationality, it just personality. Going over nationality might separate You from really nice people. On top of that, You never know if that BR? was a BR? indeed...

Day 14 - part 2

After restoring my self from a temporary flu, I went back to the journey! The smell of fresh long abandoned farm hit my nose, when I saw wild horsie taking care of pack of wild chickens. Who would I be, not to take the horse but spare all the chickens... I considered abducting one chick for the journey but well, there weren't any fox around so, had no excuse for it's family. It wasn't long, but I had to drop the horse to cross the river, sadly, for me.

It's not a hidden fact, that this journey is just a memory, since mother nature decided to devour ruins with it creepy green vines. I do not worry for ruins, we made stuff from nature and it goes back to it, but it also devours roads, that are still being in use. Maybe it is manifest against us, clay golems, to fight us back somehow. After all, we can call ourself kings of underground, where only a man's hand can change the world.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
I mean, like, I can travel world, enjoy it's ruins, friendship, traps and bastards, but now going forward, ruins will be just temporary places, which You might not even seen in your life. When I revisited Jojo land after sometime later, there was just pavement covered in vines. If I would do that journey today, I would miss such cool ruins! It makes me wonder... what can I be missing now, when the nature eats them all...?

Islands were almost always occupied by people who first spotted them. I think those are one lucky people. I barely get a chance to see a big enough island to be able to build on it. At this point, even if I find an abandoned one, I feel like it is not the same feeling You know? I mean, it's not the same feel of happiness, when You are first one to make a track on fresh, untouched by anyone yet, perfectly white snow.

If You wonder how one can felt ill, I will tell You. Keep it secret as this is (un)true story. I found few crabs in a box, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Since I don't have to pick up those from the ground, it means no pincer injuries right...? So I decided to sleep with a living things, like with Chip or lizard I had back then on very beginning. And You know what... ?

Never sleep with crabs from unknown source. It's like asking for disease.

Since I could retrieve back some of my stuff, it will be a perfect opportunity to finish the story before W11. Sorry for the (big) inconvenience.

Day 15 part 1
After getting from the hobbit hole, filled with crabs and getting diarrhea from them, I continued my journey towards the unknown and unknown to me, there was a remaining of big place right next to me. Then I find myself running past a big land of almost untouched land by man. And hitting myself all the time against dragon border. Those damn freaks never granted me experience from meting them!
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

Maybe people like me, recognized the beauty of the land and decided not to build on it. Of course there's always some barbarians not appreciating the beauty of things, but, running for so long and finding occasionally only few small places... I envy people living in such surroudings. Eventually, the pretty land ended and I finded myself stranded once again, on the harshness of this world.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Thanks to the magical power of telephaty and that, I wasn't alone in the world and I could always rely on talking to someone, when I was feeling lonely during my journey. No, actually, I met both strange, fascinating, scary and humble people. Some given me hats, some directions, some simply let me to spend time with them. It was risky for those, to allow such one stranger like me to connect with them. It was a mistake, but mistake I'm happy people commited. Like that wild horse. Now.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
When You are a happy wild boar, chasing people on horses, while those must suffer. Suffer for incompetence of their, probably now, past owners. It's always more sad when You see it happen. Less after this is a fact.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
If horses could swim, not even for big distance, but just for a tiny little bit, so You could enjoy their company for a bit more. I rarely found this land connected by a larger shallow water. One could ask for more water life, but there is already more of it. Just my blurry memories don't remember all beavers, walruses or the most cute, water dogs called grey seals. Wonder if that company can be domesticated one time.

Well, I never did get around to making a proper orchard, maybe W11. :)

Good job on your story, wonderfully told and a nice reminder to have of world 10.

Cya in the next one! <3 :D

Day 15 - part 2

The time to say goodbye with this wild friend has coming slowly, but on the horizon, I saw a bigger place rising. My heart was trembling, my head was spinning, was this another opportunity to gain a hat?! I was so close to my goal, but so far, I've wandered without meting a soul, a camp, without a shining wooden box with a head cover inside it...
Image
Image
Image
Image
Upon landing my feet on the first pavement from porphyry, I found the place was just another type of big, decayed ruins. It was almost empty left and right, without trace of... no, wait a minute, this is not right. This place is not empty. It's actually other way around. I've met here a friend named "Harmonic the Second". He and his friends have arrived at those ruins and started to repopulate it. At least according to what He said, since He was the only one I saw. After small talk, there was no chance I would get a hat from Him, but at least, He allowed me to fill my belly with hope, I won't take more or demolish anything. I wonder, how did His story end?
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Moving forward, crossed some land, crossed some water, swimmed to my fullest extend, rided wildest of the wild horses, fought the mightiest of foxes, hugged the biggest of bears! But alas, You will learn why I don't trust mineholes anymore...
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
As I was exploring one of the smaller ruins, Winnie The Pooh have tagged along, exploring ruins with me. I was scared it might attack me, but it didn't. So I assumed we have a pact, a pact of no aggression between us. Together we explored the farm, enjoyed the food and honey, explored surroudings of old houses... Then, then I decided to stand above entrance to minehole. It was my biggest mistake. Before I've noticed, my, now ex, company decided to finally make their move...
Image
I found myself stuck in the level first of this mine, unable to go back up, since it was claimed by someone. With no other choice, I've ventured deep. I was walking for hours of hours, going up and down, finding all the possible exits claimed or blocked. Until finally, I've found a living soul... that was ignoring me for very long. Until...
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
... the world decided to prank me.They decided to let me out and escort me, only for my game to crash and kick me out to HF... xD

Day 15 - Part 3
Since I was forced to be spawn somewhere on the wilderness, this part is just me going in very much random direction (yes, it wasn't that random before).

A kind soul decided to let me out, but before I've noticed, everything started to fade to black, world spinnig, my body collapsing, my mind driving away. Who knows how long this lasted, how long was I unconscious, but when I woke up, it was a day, no living sound around and most perfectly fitting runestone in front of me...

Traveling between different realms territory, I've land my fet on some interesting ruins. Seems like owner of this place was very much obsessed with the motive of orange like shaped star, covering even entire house floor with it. Albeit the cypress on the knarr impressed me. Screw poplars, cypress for the win!
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
And beside this, until end of the day, I haven't seen anything so special. No aggressive animals apparenty, no gaping holes, no living soul. Just me, ruins and rest of the wilderness. Eventually occasionally stopping by foxes, since those cute little bastard have the best movement pattern that there is.

Final Day - Part 1

That was the first hobbit hole I enjoyed spending the night the most. Despite being so close to water, nobody
have steal what little I have, nor the food, nor beer I've prepared for the journey this day. I had a dream where
I've finished my journey, so I'm fired up to find the final hat, this day, today... today or never!
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Maybe I was too rought to myself this morning. I wasn't prepared to suicide, both with my body and with my mind.
That would mean to fail my quest, so, instead of doing stupid things, it's good to take a second, take a deep breath
and just, think for a moment, eat something, then ,after a great meal, time to lie on the ground and feel like
garbag... true hat collector!
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Then, after several ruins or rather I would should have said, junkpiles, I've come upon what seemed to be freshly
decayed place. Full of loot. Guess what, NO HATS! So many armors, cloths, gear pieces, but no freaking, single
helmet or hat. CAN YOU IMAGINE? But hah, I didn't left empty handed. I met, a black friend here.
Image
Image
Image
Image
So, as You might have noticed, a friend, a rope and a wagon, was a very tempting idea that I was going to make come
true and that would be perfect way to end this journey, wouldn't You say? I packed all the most expensive chest,
empty or not, that I found here and made my way towards the direction of center of the world.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
The closer to the center, the more abandoned places started to appear. Maybe I should have gone reverse way, instead
starting from the edge, circling towards the middle, I should have go from the center and spiral it to the edge. On
the second thought, maybe this way it was better. Had probably more occasion to see the world and the people living
on it. In the mean time, let's enjoy this fresh water from this lost well.

Final Day - Part 2

Water, the biggest obstacle of humanity, who wish to travel on horses and with wagons. If You don't find a brook
for your horse or natural shallow water passage for your wagon, You are screwed. Like, literally, if You're stuck on
a land without a shallow water, You might as well put some sticks under your wagon and start a fire, since it won't
be much more of use in this situation.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
I've found a pretty nice looking village, with what seemed to be nicely laid out outside pavement, that presented
itself nicely. After 3 cycles around it, I couldn't find a way in. There was two gates open, but there was an
obstacle that I couldn't get around because of visitor buff. And partly because I was afraid someone might yoink my
friend.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Since the previous place didn't provided with opportunity to collect a tax in form of a hat, I went to the another
one I saw on my map. It make me feel nostalgic. The moment the person spotted me, they have hide inside a building
and didn't come out for several minutes. No point being a stalker over one hat, right...? RIGHT???
Image
Image
Image
Image
Since I didn't spotted any more dots ringing bells about heartlings whereabouts on the nearbiest terrain, I decided
to turn on my radio and fueled my horse with extra fuel, to make it gearbox jump a level higher. Time to make some
noise in this place!
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
It still wasn't enough! This horse didn't give me everything it has nor this wagon! We have to go a higher level,
into the new generation of speedhorsewagon nobody heard about yet! There's a green tower on the horizon and I want
to hit it with the speed of thousand horses! There must be my treasure, I want so much!

Final day - Part 3

Emerald city market didn't contain any hats to be purchased, despite that the loot in my wagon, goods would be
sufficient for such trade. Disappointed, I've left the salad city and decided to venture further into the world.
Trying last time to maybe try and see the Emerald City from inside, I licked the door and moved away.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
I've arrived at mountains, where I didn't suspect to find a lot of hearth life so, the first hermit I found, was
attacked with a question if they have a hat they would want to trade. They haven't trusted me even tiny bit and just
told me a direction in which I could expect more people to live on, so that's at least useful information I got out
of that encounter. Gerald, my trusty horse, together we ride!
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
The owner of this small impressive mario was absent and I couldn't get anything out of them but on the other hand, I
could enjoy their multi-level base layout with very much clean ground, instead of stockpiles everywhere, infinite
capacity and chaos, that is not much different... loftars... apparently.
Image
Image
Image
Image
The next village I saw was Waveshire, which also decide to be not as flat, probably because of the terrain and not
as pretty as hermitage I saw a while before, but again, whoever saw me, decided to instanteniously teleport back to
hearthfire before I could even reach them. I feel just... sad this point. Why. Just why...? Do people in this area
have bad experience? Bad memories? Bad touch that last for eterenity of your life?
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
I learned the reason why people were so afraid. Wasn't long till I bumped into two fully armored and equipment
warriors, hanging around, where I shouldn't probably put my nose, trying to smell any hats. After a very, very small
talk, I took immediatly off, before I would have been smacked. The last thing I want on end of my trip, to anrage
some strangers with their weapons, shining in the sun. Also, didn't want to be reborned in some different place
again.
