Fictional characters you relate with.

Postby Jalpha » Mon Jul 19, 2021 11:37 pm

So here I am, drunk again and alone (who trusts resveratrol from pills anyway). I just finished watching Akira (again. different, better dubbs this time). Point being, I think, that forums are a way for us to know each other better. Well, watching this film, I realised this time that the character I relate to most is Colonel Shikishima.

I mean this guy wants so badly to uncover the mysteries of human potential. His motivations are irrelevant. The real point is that he is such a lonely man really. The other main characters have friends and even romantic partners. He works to his full potential protecting a culture and civilisation he does not even like. His allies are few and powerless, swept up by a mindlessly destructive system which he himself has no option but to sustain.

Colonel Shikishima is a reactive individual as I am. A true man with a military mind. I aspire to become more like this character. He has the best interests of his society close to his heart. Even though the system itself seeks destruction he fights against this despite his foolish ambition.

I am sure I could ramble on but this thread is not about me. If there are fictional characters who you relate to or aspire to emulate please share with the community. We would like to get to know you better and develop meaningful connections with like minded individuals.

Peace.

This is a thread about fictional characters. I am also concerned that you choose to relate with a victim of jewish persecution. However I respect your choice and prefer to avoid a derail.

If given the power I would crush the USA to impose universal healthcare upon them.

I should probably cease bumping my own thread for now. Goeden nacht.

I feel that many of us within this community know of at least one playmate who could have benefited from proper healthcare. It's lack has been a travesty for us all.

Dr. Zimsky from unexpected funny "The Core"(2003), just for his tragicomic epiphany at the end

also Steven Seagal as a character is kinda relatable = https://youtu.be/BzIHyF7UWY4
