A risk of losing boots while walking in a swamp. At least those like bunny slippers and clogs. If the character has enough relevant stats, the boots may initially be found on the ground as a dropped item.
When being hit (damaged), a stockpile doesn't disappear, but scatters its contents around. Each scattered item (and any other dropped item as well) has its own "half-blocking" bounding box that doesn't block movement fully, but reduces the max speed significantly and creates a risk of tripping over (stopping the char for a couple of seconds) and getting a wound. Perhaps dependent on agi.
