Golden subscription - missing hat whenever new patch is out

I am fairly new to the game. So far I've loved it, bought gold subscription few months ago to support devs however I don't get hats whenever new patches are out

The last patch was one of those stalling ones they put out mostly as an excuse to give out a hat, while they worked on next world content.

Unfortunately, I think they vastly underestimated whatever it is they've been working on, or in the alternative, are engaging in some feature creep.
