I have not played in like 10 years and I'm thinking of returning and I'm just curious how things are now. Sounds like 16 is near dead but whatever, I've joined at the end of worlds before I'm sure things are both the same and wildly different since I think 7?

It is a completely different game now. One thing that hasn't changed is that the game is pretty much in maintenance mode just like legacy for most of it's life was.

But that shouldn't matter since you havent played it since legacy and you have alot new content to discover.

Game is good if you never played it since legacy, this will be a big journey for you comparing to how low on content legacy was.
It's stagnating world phase now when barely anyone plays, but you can use it to learn it with calm.

Joining new world being unexperienced is what I wouldn't recommend you for sure.

So I did return a few years back for maybe a few days to a week. So I have some experience with the new stuff but I have started playing and I'm still like woah at the amount of stuff that's new me.
