Where did everybody go? Server count down

Postby Hingle_McCringle » Mon Dec 08, 2025 1:59 pm

As post states, server online number are about 500-1000 players lower then the lastt 3 years.

If you are playing what's the reason? Playing in world 16 still? Waiting for feedback to start playing? Or just not going to play? Why?

I played this world for a bit, couldn't really enjoy it. I don't know if I'm getting bored of Haven in general or it's just this world in particular that doesn't appeal to me, but this is the first Haven world ever that I couldn't enjoy whatsoever. :|

There are not many players because

1. The world didn't have anything interesting in comparison to w16 after a year of questionable development, just a fresh start or what other says - devs ran out of gold subs money.
2. Turned out devs took away the only "real" way to protect cave entrances (build a claim in front of entrance). In consequence first 2 days were raid fiesta and many sprucecaps/small groups were instantly deleted from the map.
3. The world has faster passing time, it means there is much more grind (curio, food etc.), you need to do more things, faster and faster. It became some kind of rat race at this point instead of a game that you can enjoy.
4. The world is too small for peace gaming.
5. Temporary server and we still need to do disgusting credos.

Overall very bad run, poorly implemented, poorly announced. Not a world for casuals.

the hermits will stare you dead in the face and tell you 3 huge continents is too small for 500-100 concurrent players when you can go multiple hours without seeing another person on day 1

it will never be big enough for them until it's single player

can confirm that I
a) have hardly seen anyone, and
b) 99% of the ppl I have seen are idiot hermits who make their first bases out in the open on the shoreline, even unclaimed. No one (else) has raided these free loot boys

so no, the world is not “too small to survive raiders”

Jorb promised a lot but went radio silence for more than a year, so people lost interest.

Also his inability to look at a calendar and see he will be competing with a poe2 league really shows this guy lives in dreamland.

Look at discovery thread as well
- A new empty biome - Loftar fucked tree generation
- A new birb in empty biome
- A few day 1 clothes
- A few cosmetic changes

All of this after radio silence
