Whats the verdict on boats?
Is it like legacy Haven, where if you disconnect or the server crashes, you'll reconnect in the boat? I seem to recall a few people said they died due to their boats.

I am hearing people are dying when the server crashes with them embarked. Stay far away from boats for now!! Atleast that is what I am going to do

servers gone down three times now with me in my boat, every time i've logged back on I have still been in it.

Yeah just had the same happen earlier, was sure I was toast. But I lived, logged back in in the boat.

They usually stick around unless someone else steals them and rides off.

Set hotkey to teleport to hearthfire use it right after logging in maybe it's quicker than you drowning.

Judging by the very limited bodies of water as found walking for hours and hours? They are functionally useless except to may be to fishing nodes.

A better question: Do Bark Boats exist in this version? If not I'm not even training boat building until late game when i have a ton of extra LP.

They do, and they still require Boat Building. Not sure if they've changed as I don't have Boat Building myself yet.

I've been in a boat a couple server crashes now, and I have been fine. Once the server comes back up you will log back into your boat where it was left. HOWEVER, if the boat is moved while you are offline, your probably going to drown.
