Effective means of early game LP?

I'm not sure if I'm going crazy or not, but it seems as though the usual steps of gaining LP aren't as effective anymore, considering a few LP items are significantly worse than they had been before. Anyone know an effective means of gaining LP?

Seems pumping up int and survival in my opinion.. Int so you can study more items. Survival seems to raise the quality of the items you gather, or the bugs and shit you catch. This in turn raises the amount of LP you will get in the same amount of time. This is from my own experiences though, could be completely wrong :)

Discoveries too early game. Like toads and frogs each give you LP when you discover them. Someone mentioned you get LP for each specie fish you catch, and butcher.
But yeah, INT+survival and PER+exploration :)

INT yes, PER yes, Explo, yes. But why the hell survival?
You just need 2 base survival, and q2/2/2 nettle set (1 survi each), which will set you on 6 survival. Then you can make a q6/6/6 nettle (2 survi each) and end with 10 survival, which is all you need early on

Foraged items are hardcapped by survival. Survival also factors into the quality calculation of many of the early crafted items.

to finish my thought... Sure, the nettle set will get you the 10, but given so much in the world is higher quality than that, and that it can take some tiem to assemble those *20 nettles if you're in the wrong area, it's not bad advice.

*40 if you're going to remake your nettle set after the first one for those extra two points of survival

28, since you don't need to remake the pants. Q4 and Q10 pants both give +2 survival.
