once you put mateirals into it i can't seem to find out how to take them out, is there a solution or am I just boned?

I recall devs mentioning they didn't want people storing stuff in signposts like last world. It's probably impossible to remove the items.

dang I decided against building something i didn't want and now its stuck with 10 string in it

You can only destroy the signpost to remove it, but once materials are used in a signpost they cannot be recovered as far as I know

maybe deconstruction of some buildings, with chance to recover half of resources?
