Some go exploration, and live off curo's they find till Yeomanry, when you can create your own claim. Always go with what you like best though, learning new things is H&H.

Raise all stats evenly, as the amount of food(FEP) you require raises with your maximum stat, so if your max stat is 200 and all others are 10 -you will require 200FEP for each subsequent stat to raise, even for those lower ones.

So try to keep the stat margin between the stats you deem necessary for your character as small as possible.

I recommend trying to get your exploration and survival to 5 on your first day
in this order for stats intelligence first perception second Constitution. Third

your goal should be trying to get 25 in your intelligence by the third day and at least 15 in the other two stats

devoid settling by large lakes try to find a small pond or look for a location for a well by end of week 1 and before you build anything build your claim first and if it cannot sit in your claim do not build it yet and I've seen a lot of people build their Palisades before their claim was finished covering them results is the Palisades were destroyed and they were totally useless the resources were wasted and one more thing do not sprint everywhere conserve your energy and if you're lucky steal a boat
