How to catch Runnign Bear?

When i finally got anought courage and MM, i went to find a bear. For 2 days..noting..then i found one by accident.
When i lured him to hill i shoot him 2x and he went panic...But he was like rocket..he runed to coast but when i arrived there..he was gone..despawn or swimed to other side of lake..WTF

The best way to kill a bear is to trap it in someway. Boats to edge of lake is best tactic in my opinion. Also they can not swim but can run full speed accross if it is all shallows. Also becareful as if you do not have it fully trapped after you do so much damage past fleeing it will rage and start attacking you again.

Deaggro, wait 5 seconds, walk the direction it was running. Find it again, put an arrow into it from about 10 tiles away and repeat.
