The old hafen chats are not very new people friendly with the settled community. memes and all this kind of stuff. So the trade conference is often derailed by the people who would like to chat about the formulas, game mechanics, advises and etc. We have decided to make 2 moderated conferences (eng and ru separately) for people that would like to get real-time advises, or know more about the game without posting on the forum.

Why not to use IRC or some thing I do not need extra software for using?

Skype conferences had been used for HnH stuff for some time now (village conference, trading ...) so it grew organically in more directions ... (while i understand your concerns i got rid of Skype myself)

On the other hand there is at last a haven irc channel where you could ask tech questions too and sometimes even get an answer ...

I think if intentional push to chat will be done like this helpdesk does trying to do, it will be better to not requiring extra softwares. I do not use this skype much.

feedback would be on content not on tool ... i already told you it's established ^ ... so any further critzing the tool is just derailing ...

Most of people don't use IRC nowdays. And Skype also has browser client.
