extended AFK time needed

What is the way to keep the character alive not dying from starvation for extended AFK time ?

Afk dosn't drain energy, so eat yourself out of starvation and then you can idle at your leisure.

Off line doesn't matter. it's staying logged in for extended periods of time that can hurt you, even if not doing anything.

Only if some men come to kill you. As Granger say, you do not lose any thing just for be online. But you will recover stamina, which can be draining your energy. But if you have full stamina? You can afk until somebody does stopping you from it with blade or arrow.

i thought that nothing bad can happen to me if i leave myself outside for 5 minutes and go make myself food,that was like the 2nd day of the world??

You should only AFK inside your base thats protected with pali or brick walls. You never know when a bear or murdering player will come along.
