Edited to ~10,000.

you can build a huge hill with a house on top

Reverse moat, yes.

Just a reminder that it was called "Motte and Bailey" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motte-and-bailey_castle. A water filled moat wasn't necessarily a thing.

How do you know where I live? Dis has you stalking me?

I have no clue where you live but when I started I traveled for like 28 hours before I found a spot with no signs of life for quite awhile

Couple more questions...

I was riding my horse and got attacked by a bear, it did not agro me, but rather my horse. I tried to click on sprint but before I could hit it the bear knocked me off my horse and gave chase to my fleeing horse.
I was fairly close to my base and they were fleeing in that direction to I hit "travel to your hearth fire" and went and jumped on another horse (I had 2 tamed) to go try and find my horse before the bear ate it.
I searched for a few minutes and found the bear but no sign of a horse, dead or alive.

So here are my questions:

1. If the bear killed my tamed horse would it drop a body and if so how long would it stay there
2. Can the tamed horse outrun the bear so the bear just gives up? If he can outrun him what will he do since he is still tamed ? and how long will he do it ?
3. is there a way to hotkey the different speeds of movement ? Trying to click way up in the corner of the screen ends up with me getting mauled
4. Found my horse but it got KO'd, how long til it gets up and will it still be tamed ?

Pretty sure that in standard client ctrl+R increase your speed. In amber client you can also use shift + Q,W,E,R to choose your speed.

I assume yes, but I do not know time and have never check this. I imagine same time as any killed animal body (at least some days or so).

I think horse can outrun bear. I imagine bear is dropping aggro if it get too far away from horse. I imagine horse run as long as he gets attack. Never test this though.

Almost positive this is feature of some custom client. I think amber hotkey is like alt + q/w/e/r or some thing for the 4 speeds.

It take 12 hours realtime to wake up. It will still be tame. You will want to surround it with some item/stockpile so it does not move away after wake up.

But sometimes structure of time changes and it takes more or less 12 hours!

Thank you for the answers, helps alot.

I am using the purus pasta version of amber.
Is there a way to customize the hotkeys or do you have to go with standard ?
Also is there a list of hotkeys for the amber and/or purus clients ?

According to the wiki you need 1250 (per*exp) to start seeing Blood Stern.

My Exploration is 28 red (34 - 6 from wounds) and my Perception is 46 green (23 + 23 from items) which 28*46 = 1288

I have travelled for over an hour on horseback going through many different biomes (it just says forest) but have not seen a blood stern.
Is the math based on numbers other than current or am I just unlucky so far ?

I have see wiki minimum for per*exp be too high in past (it is harder to tell if it is too low, as you see here), so there is definite possibility it is not correct. Or you are maybe unlucky.
