Taming Help

Postby Leon232 » Mon Nov 12, 2018 12:27 am

I've been hunting thru the forums constantly and cant find anything about it. ive had a sheep and a cow so far, got them all the way to that final tame fight.....and they don't run or finish taming......they just die.....and yes it was set to peace.....am I doing something wrong? is there anything I can do to reduce the chance they die?

What deck you using? What weapon and quality? STR?

If you're pushing too much opening, you're going to do too much damage. Try letting it keep openings down the last couple of hits.

literally just punch and whatever base dodge for the color they deal. no weapon, just mah fist. but im about 90-100str and 90ish agi so I imagine yea I was pushin the opening way too hard, i got two cows goin atm i'll let you guys know how they turn out, basically dont push it past 60% opening? i easily get up to 80-90 so im pretty sure that is the issue XD

Some clients, notably Ardenness one, count damage done to opponent and wiki has HP numbers. That should help adjusting damage output when close to killing the beast.

alrighty! well I successfully tamed out a bull, working on more but I think ive got the just of it. it seems they run at 260damage, let the openings go down about 220-230 so that the last few hits are only like 5 a pop.

You need to set the crossed swords icon next to animal portrait to yield, that way the combat ends instantly when the animal gets taming points. Of course you may still kill the animal before that happens but it should be fine if you only spam punch with non-titan character.

Don't forget to leash the animal back to the hitching post!
