When mining, if you cause a cavein but the cavein tile does not drop any cavedust, are the surrounding tiles safe or do caveins never drop or indicate presence of another cave in tile nearby?

If u dig a Sqm and no cave dust drop the surrounding tiles wont cause cave in, if it does surrounding tiles May cause one

cavein tiles drop cave dust ever; there certainly can be cavein tiles adjacent to one another.

Yeah, cave dust is dropped only if the cave extends to nearby squares. No cavedust - no cave nearby. If there's some, then it's time to play minesweeper

Also, amount of cavedust indicates how many cave-in tiles are adjacent to the tile you mined. One tile equals 0.01kg, two 0.02kg and so on.
