I can say with high confidence that Quarryartz is hardcapped by Masonry * 1.5 and then softcapped by the tool.

It also can be found at much higher quality than the typical quality for the mine level (possibly the same x1.5?) -- e.g. I've seen ~200q at lvl3, and ~270q at lvl4.

That seems to be very similar to what I'm seeing. Also to note that quarryartz seems to have it's own nodes, independant of the stone.

Works the same way as gems/catgold does.

For those suspicious that the name is misspelled, here's fuel to that fire. Its indeed "Quarryquartz" in filenames.

It just has its own nodes, it can be like 20q the same as any other stone. I will admit I generally find it well over 100q, however.

Which is?

a VERY small range of being able to know when there's an ore near the mined tile, without any direction, but with a nice loud ping in your system messages

I find it a great thing when searching for a vein that you managed to prospect from above, and you don't know its specific position.
Or to clearing those scattered silver / gold veins.
Or simply when you are tunneling to somewhere you can pick up the vein that's a couple tiles away.

I am probably 2-3 silver bars richer thanks to the miner's detector. It's a very good tool to have for small-scale miners where you want to make the most out of the area you cover.

The credo changes seem to be overall more beneficial to casual players. I like.
