What does it look like, more exactly? That sounds like one of those browser warnings that triggers on every executable file, that you can just click "Okay" to.

it drops down from a "download" icon up by my favorites star etc (upper right on toolbar). has a red X, it gets bulleted (1), (2), etc. each time i try to log in. I think its just a thing that i have to "allow" in security settings or somewhere. This PC is new and has Microsoft Edge, which is new to me. I understand it uses s mode, also not familiar with, so i am trying to see where to correct this so i can play

This may help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... baebeebc85

Basically, what I'm reading here is that you have your device configured so that you can only run apps downloaded directly from the Microsoft Store. I've not tested it, but you probably aren't going to be able to install Java*, either, which is required to run Haven.

If you want to turn 'S mode' off so that you can install your own applications, instructions are in the FAQ I linked. Warning: it's a one-way change.

*Dug around a bit more. no, you cannot install Java while in "S mode." While several Java based items are available on the MS Store, they're programmer and student tools and references.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
