Rowboat and Claims

According to the wiki, boats are not criminalized for crossing p-claims on water.
Question: If a rowboat is on claimed water, and another boat crosses through, can it cause damage to rowboat? I ask because my own rowboat has recently disappeared from a claim that is weeks old, but no scents, and rowboat had only minor damage to seaworthiness meter. What might I be missing?

Are you sure you didn't just misplace it? I sometimes have problems with disappearing boats, only to find them in a random spot where I forgot to pick it up when hearthing home.

Well, I had only used it to make a water gathering run, and did not hearth, but rowed back and then swapped to a dugout. Next time I went it was gone. I wonder if they take damage just sitting in the water and perhaps I should have put it on ground?

Someone with high int * stealth could have taken it, meaning you can't see the scents without higher exp * per than you currently have
