It seems that they changed the way of making an anvil. Now I make a clay mold and I don't know how to use it. I can't put metal or carbon in it. What are the steps?

You need to put hard metal in it. To get your first hard metal, you need to get copper, which is now found only on cave layer 2. Build a mine pyre and have it burn for 7 real-life days, then spend 20 leather and 10 hardened leather (3 leather + 2 wax each) plus some wood and ropes to get to layer 2 which has copper, which you can combine with tin to get bronze, the first hard metal.
