How do i reduce lag?

I can barely play the game because there is way too much lag, like if i move it takes atleast 2 seconds for my character to start moving and the music goes weird, anyone know how to reduce lag?

Use the search thing in Win 10, type CMD, execute that, type: ping game.havenandhearth.com, show results.

in game press Esc and click "video options"
deselect "render shadows"
set "framerate limit (active window)" to 15
try "Frame sync mode" top and bottom positions

if character still is lagged, it's probably the network, wifi, etc

if character reacts faster, then try some clients like Ard or Ender and disable a bunch of stuff like trees, animations, etc
